Imado was established in 1992 based on turbine engineering and rotating plant technology. Through re-investment and continuous training Imado soon established itself as a market leader in plant refurbishment and manufacture.

Initially formed to service the food manufacturing, mining and power generation industry, Imado broadened its base in bulk handling technology to the point where industrial demand justified the design and manufacture of high quality airlocks in materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, austinetic ductile, iron and alloy steels for special applications.

Imado obtained agent status for two well known manufacturers namely Maxmech Mechanical Seals and Busch Vacuum Pumps and Systems.

Imado is now a highly respected manufacturer and supplier of equipment in Sub Saharan Africa as well as overseas.
